I started John Palecki Structures with the goal of creating accurate and detailed models of
riveted railroad bridges. It is the direct result of a lifetime interest in the huge heaps of cold steel, large and
small, that many people take for granted. While a bridge may appear to be a static construction with no soul,
I see them as full of energy, of tension and compressive forces actively working along the lines of the beams,
so much intensive power being brought safely to solid earth. Bridges are similar in pattern and technique but
unique in place and application, each one being worth consideration. Even the largest and most complex
riveted railroad bridge is an amazing assembly of simple plates and angles, designed and built by bold men
in the late 19th and early 20th century. I never pass any bridge without at least an admiring glance. I hope my
kits appeal to those of you who share my sentiments, and fulfill a need for modelers who desire an accurate,
detailed bridge that matches their quality rolling stock.

techniques and purchasing options.

I thought it was time to let you know I am still going at it. Still lots of distractions at home too (we need health care insurance reform now!) but I have just a couple of part masters left to make. Then it the rubber hits the mold box.
The On3 truss will come. My desire remains to share my interest in riveted bridges. This project is more of a what-is-possible effort than it is a business with a plan to make lots of money. I am still having fun and I am sure y'all will too once a box of castings is opened on your workbench.
If you are still with me thanks, if you are new this will be a wonderful kit to keep track of.
Thank you!
